The Swallowtail mirror - discounted
A really pretty piece: This decorative mirror features a metal handle (original) while the back has been adorned with vintage entomology text, crystals, decorative moss and a faux taxidermy Swallowtail.
This faux taxidermy piece is perfect for collectors of the unusual who might not like having the real thing: it is made of high quality paper craft and accurately represents the specimen in question. Each mirror will also come with a care guide.
As this mirror was one of the first of our new designs (we've all got to start somewhere right!) it has been discounted due to minor tarnish/errors around the backing and on the butterfly (can be seen in the images). As the item has been decorated by hand and not mass produced there may be minor imperfections, particularly around the paper craft specimens where they have been manipulated into shape though it is still both a beautiful and statement piece.
The mirror is in great condition for it's age with some minor wear as well as the overall frame.
Perfect as a gift for a vintage beauty lover or to hang as a wall decoration.
All details can be seen in the images.
Size: 33cm by 11.5cm
As the item has been decorated by hand and not mass produced there may be minor imperfections, particularly around the paper craft specimens where they have been manipulated into shape but they do not distract from its beauty.
As this item also uses natural but dyed moss some colour transfer may be expected, this also applies to the vintage text which is in it's original condition so may contain minor mark/wear.
Wear on these items can be seen in the images, please make sure to check both the images and the description to assess their condition. Due to age wear and tear should be expected and I have done my best to highlight any flaws but other minor defects may still be present. All antique and vintage items are lightly polished and any further improvements to their condition is up to you.
As this item contains moss it is not available for Australian or New Zealand customers due to the strict bio-security laws.
