Vintage art nouveau mirror: EPNS
An exquisitely detailed silver plated mirror, a later reproduction of solid silver Victorian designs.
The frame is repousse with floral elements, beginning with florals on the handle working their way upwards with filigree to double blank cartouche's flanking a beautifully detailed bouquet with filigree.
The mirror is in fair condition for it's age; showing signs of wear (scratches and minor below surface chipping - can be seen in the image, it is located on the upper right of the mirrored glass). As a whole the mirror is quite light to hold.
There is a rattle within the frame due to loose elements (most likely the inner remnants of chips) and the outer edge displays wear: it has a dent along the side of the frame (can be seen in the images). This item has been lightly cleaned and polished but retains some patina, which is expected due to the age of the item. As an antique these effects of wear are to be expected. This mirror is stamped EPNS. It has not other marks of origin.
All elements can be seen in the photos - however wear can be expected due to age and use.
Perfect as a gift for a vintage beauty lover or to hang as a wall decoration.
Size: 16cm by 29c
